Widmore Farm
A small family farm in Kent that has been growing fruit and veg for over seventy years, now delivering farm-fresh produce — and a curated range of local add-ons — straight to doors across Kent and the surrounding postcodes.

Background
Widmore Farm is a small family farm with over seventy years of fruit and veg growing behind it, with the knowledge passed down from grandfather to father to son. For many years the business focused on supplying wholesale markets and supermarkets, but the team saw an opportunity to do something different: bring the great fresh taste of local produce — from the farm itself and from other trusted local farms — direct to households across Kent and the surrounding area.
The shop is built around weekly Fruit & Veg Boxes.Alongside the core boxes, customers can add Local Dairy & Milk Alternatives, Bakery items and the Kent Kitchen Cupboard range — making it easy to do a meaningful chunk of the weekly shop from a single, local source.
How our platform has helped Widmore Farm
Growing Good helped Widmore Farm launch their subscription veg boxes, giving the team a proper direct-to-consumer offer alongside their long-standing wholesale business. Subscriptions lock in regular weekly orders, building a predictable customer base and a recurring revenue stream that has steadily grown customer numbers since launch.
The platform also lets the farm sell add-ons from a curated list of local producers — dairy, bakery and Kent kitchen cupboard items — sitting neatly alongside the core veg box. This widens the offer, increases average order value, and keeps more of the household shop local, all without adding operational complexity for the team.
