Farmaround
Organic seasonal boxes of organic fruit and vegetables delivered all over London and Greater London. Farmaround was established in 1994, the first ever box scheme.

Background
Founded in South London in 1994, Farmaround was a pioneering organic box scheme with a bold vision: to change how people access organic food. That same year, The Sunday Telegraph featured the business under the headline “Is this the Green Revolution?” — highlighting just how innovative the idea was.
At the time, fresh organic produce was scarce. A few wholefood stores stocked it, but long supply chains meant high prices and poor freshness, giving organic food an unfair reputation. Supermarkets offered little beyond basic items and had no real organic supply chain.
Farmaround’s founders travelled across Kent and Sussex to meet organic farmers and discovered dedicated growers producing exceptional food — but without a reliable market. Farmaround was created to bridge that gap, connecting farms directly with customers through a shorter, fresher supply chain.
Today, Farmaround delivers seasonal organic fruit and vegetable boxes tailored to different diets and household sizes.
They are also known for their Hen Nation Eggs, laid by hens allowed to live out their natural lives — reflecting the company’s long-standing commitment to ethical farming.
By keeping the journey from field to fork short, Farmaround continues to support organic growers while delivering fresher, better-quality produce to homes — just as they set out to do in 1994.
How our platform has helped Farmaround
Farmaround’s previous system had become outdated, and the team needed a cost-effective, sustainable way to manage and administer orders. Since moving to Growing Good, operations have become significantly more streamlined and efficient.
The platform has also supported Farmaround’s growth, enabling them to expand beyond veg boxes to offer a wider range of products — including their popular “Pick Your Own” options and knitwear from the Izzy Lane range, sold alongside their produce bags.
With the doorstep item feature, drivers can easily add items that aren’t packed into veg boxes — such as their well-loved Hen Nation Eggs — just before delivery, ensuring accuracy and flexibility right up to the final mile.
Growing Good has provided Farmaround with the tools to modernise their systems, diversify their offering, and deliver a smoother experience for both customers and their team.
