Blacklands Organics
A 10-acre organic vegetable farm in South Oxfordshire, growing over 100 varieties of fresh, seasonal produce and delivering it as weekly veg boxes to households across the local area — as well as running an on-site honesty shop and a Headington Market stall.

Background
Blacklands Organics is nestled in the rolling countryside of South Oxfordshire — a 10-acre organic vegetable farm founded in 2016 by Jamie and Mary Carr. What began as a dream to grow fresh, wholesome food has grown into a thriving farm producing over 100 different varieties of vegetables each year, with polytunnels extending the harvest season and outdoor fields providing larger quantities of seasonal produce throughout the year.
The team believes in farming in harmony with nature — nurturing the soil, protecting wildlife, and growing vegetables that are as healthy for the people who eat them as they are for the land. Customers can connect with the farm in three ways: a weekly organic veg box delivered to the door, the on-site honesty shop at the farm, and the Blacklands Organics stall at Headington Market in Oxford.
How our platform has helped Blacklands Organics
Growing Good has improved the customer experience at Blacklands Organics with a proper subscription basket — making it easy for customers to manage their weekly orders, see what's coming, and adjust their box without back-and-forth with the team.
Veg box swaps have been a particular game-changer for retention. Customers can now exchange items they don't want for ones they do, keeping every box feeling personal and well-suited to the household. The result is happier, longer-staying customers — fewer cancellations, more confident orders, and a smoother experience that reflects the same care Jamie, Mary and the team put into growing the produce in the first place.
