Background

Amary Farm is a family-run, certified organic market garden in North Devon, growing a wide range of seasonal produce — vegetables, herbs, fruits and cut flowers — for its local community. The name Amary (or Amari) means "eternal" or "everlasting" across several cultures, a fitting reflection of the sustainable ethos the team practices on the land.

The farm is off-grid and strives to be self-sufficient. The team grows without chemicals, using no-till methods, agroforestry and permaculture principles to build a biodiverse, ecological, human-powered farm — drawing inspiration from organic market gardeners such as Elliot Coleman, Jean-Martin Fortier and Charles Dowding.

Amary Farm is a proud member of the Better Food Trader network, and only ever sells produce that is organic or agroecologically grown. When they can't grow enough at the farm themselves, they source from a handful of trusted organic farms elsewhere in Devon, with the origin of every item transparent on the website. Veg box delivery routes cover selected areas of North Devon, alongside supplying restaurants and retail stores — keeping food miles low and the local food system strong.
